POSITION SUMMARY: Manage, evaluate and adapt a volunteer-taught garden education program resulting in greater food security and quality of life for participants. Recruit, train and support volunteers in coordination with the Learning Gardens Volunteer Coordinator; foster dialogue with social service agencies and other garden education organizations, to host workshops and advance educational opportunities for low-income community members. Plan and manage food production at OFB's Eastside and Westside Learning Gardens.

The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, located in Beaverton, Oregon is seeking two part-time Natural Resources Maintenance Technicians.

Overview:   The Tech assists the Natural Resources Department in fieldwork pertaining to the restoration of natural areas; trail promotion and light maintenance, provides education for the public on the Park District and ecological issues; and leads volunteer habitat stewardship projects.

Hours:  24 hrs per week, one weekend day per week

Normal Starting Wage: $13.06
