The deadline to submit application will be Friday, November 20th, 2009.

Please share this announcement  to any students who have taken at least one year of college level Spanish and would represent Portland Community College and the state of Oregon proudly as student ambassadors at  the Universitat Pompeu Fabra!

We are happy to promote the Spring 2010 PCC Study Abroad Program to London, England.  The program dates are  March 25th to June 4th, 2010. 

The deadline to submit application will be Friday, January 8th, 2010.

The OIEC (Portland Community College, Central Oregon Community College, Chemeketa Community College, Clackamas Community College, Mt. Hood Community College and Rogue Community College) offers this unique program to enable students to study abroad while making normal progress toward their degree objectives, earning 12-15 transferable credits in courses taught by community college faculty and local guest lecturers.  This program is offered in conjunction with other community colleges in partnership with the American Institute of Foreign Study (AIFS), which provides transportation, living accommodations, and a wide range of student and instructional support services, including an optional pre-program tour of Europe.  Credits earned will appear on transcripts from these fully accredited community colleges.

It’s coming…the fall 2009Student Services Information Fairat Sylvania Campus,Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 13 and 14!Stop by andcheck out nearly 25types of resources that the campus offers students!

Set to take place in the Upper CC Mall, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the fair will address:

  • Financing the cost of college tuition
  • Jobs
  • Career Resources and Planning
  • Student Clubs and Government
  • Advising and Counseling
  • Free Tutoring
  • And more…and includes prizes and popcorn!
Representatives from several of Sylvania’s centers and programs – Women’s Resource Center, Illumination Project, Multicultural Center, Career Resource Center, Co-Op Education and High School Completion programs, ASPCC and Intramurals, among others – will be available for questions.
 
 
A series of representatives will be coming to PCC Rock Creek Campus to present specific information about their institutions.  This is not just a recruitment speech, but a chance to prepare and ask questions about what to expect from the University and what happens when you arrive to study.
