The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District is informally recruiting for a student intern position in GIS and Mapping.  This position will be for approximately 1 year.  Job duties are variable and consist of general geospatial data management and GIS analysis support related to water resource engineering.  Interested applicants must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited university geography or related program in the physical sciences
and have basic GIS skills (at least GIS 1 and 2 or equivalent).  Pay depends on educational background with undergraduate students generally qualified at the GS-4 level ($14.14/hr) and graduate students generally qualified at the GS-5 level ($15.82), interns do not receive federal health or other benefits.

We would like to see a time commitment of around 20 hours per week during the school year and can support a full-time schedule during Summer term.  This time commitment may be flexible.

Hi christina,
I was wondering if the internship for the US corps of engineers would allow students to apply if they have taken GEO 265? I am taking GEO 265 as of right now and will be taking GEO 266 next semester. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
