This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that will receive exposure in the national and international media.

We need a person who has the ability to look beyond statistics and data, to see patterns, and ultimately gain insights.

 

Requirements include:

Detailed knowledge of Census demographics.  Familiarity with data products from other government agencies such as the CDC, EPA, and BLS a plus.

Expertise in extracting, manipulating and analyzing very large databases using spreadsheet and database software.

Skill in analysis to find patterns and correlations from existing data, and create predictive models.

Familiarity with GIS applications to perform spatial analysis (such as ESRI ArcView) a big plus.

Ability to work quickly, efficiently, accurately, and independently without direct supervision.
