There is a temporary biologist position at WSDOT in Vancouver that lasts for up to two years. 

This position independently plans, directs and conducts scientific and technical investigations of aquatic systems and plant and animal communities at transportation facilities region wide. Identifies and evaluates the effects of design features, construction methods and operational procedures of transportation facilities on natural resources, including plants, animals, fisheries and threatened and endangered species.


Prepares technical reports (i.e. biological assessments) containing site assessment information, analysis of project effects on endangered species and other natural resources, andrecommendations for avoiding and minimizing adverse effects.
