Geography: Geospatial Analyst. Motivated researchers sought with expertise in the characterization of land cover using remotely sensed data sets.


Earned Master's in appropriate field with a background in Remote Sensing research is required. Knowledge of image processing and statistical packages, including decision/regression tree algorithms, is also required.  Familiarity with handling large volume data sets derived from remotely sensed imagery is desired as is the ability to code scripts for automating the processing of data within both statistical software packages such as Splus, in image processing software packages, such as ENVI and PCI, and in scripting languages such as Perl. Experience in using geographic information systems software to extract information from land cover data sets is preferred. Deadline for applications is April 23, 2010. To apply, visit
