            These GIS Specialists will act as shared resources for a group of Regulatory Engineers tasked with building out cell sites to protect the licensing contained within the company’s overall spectrum footprint. The ideal candidates will be responsible for supporting multiple aspects of this project company-wide (supporting multiple licensing areas). Responsibilities include but are not limited to, providing MapInfo support to the Engineering team to finish final site designs as spec design work is already completed.

            Support company-wide GIS regulatory license protection needs by:
            • Editing data, to include Object editing, Table/Tabular data editing and Moving/clipping points.
            • Performing population/demographic data analysis, which will include Census data.

            Requirements:

            GIS Specialist Qualifications:
            • Intermediate to Advanced GIS experience, additional experience with Wireless industry and RF engineering systems preferred.
            • Strong GIS systems knowledge and analytical skills as applied to wireless coverage area.
            • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with GIS related software, data and systems…most importantly MapInfo versions 9 and 10. Will consider strong MapInfo users of previous versions as ramp up is expected to be quick.
            • Understanding of all processes behind developing wireless coverage depiction on a map helpful.
            • Experience with Vertical Mapper, ESRI, MapBasic programming language and Google Earth are very helpful.
            • Excellent communications, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
            • Flexible person with the ability to manage stressful situations and adapt to changing environments.
            • Bachelors degree in Geography, GIS or Computer Science (or related), preferred but not required.
