            About Watershed Sciences:
            Watershed Sciences Inc is an Oregon-based company with offices in Portland and Corvallis. We specialize in remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), image analysis, data processing, and hydrology. We collect airborne data including LiDAR, thermal infrared and digital multi-spectral imagery, as well as perform ground and bathymetric surveys. http://www.watershedsciences.com/

            Position Description:
            Watershed Sciences offers competitive benefits packages including health and retirement plans. Salary will be commensurate with education and work experience. This announcement will be filled in our Portland or Corvallis office depending upon chosen candidate.   The position often requires extensive travel throughout North America and will entail operation of survey equipment, project planning and data processing.

            This is a unique position perfect for someone who enjoys the excitement and challenges of a dynamic work environment.  The responsibilities for these positions encompass all aspects of LiDAR and other remote sensing data acquisitions. The position will support airborne data collection operations throughout the U.S. and requires multi-week field stints throughout the year.

            Desired Skills:
            We are looking for an individual who works well in a team setting, as well as, the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with excellent decision making and problem solving abilities, computer proficiency, and an interest in GIS and remote sensing. An understanding of geospatial concepts and GPS survey methods is a desired, but not mandatory as on-the-job training will be provided to the employee. Prior experience with field data collection is also a benefit.

            Required Qualifications:
            A successful candidate will have a 4-year degree from a physical/ biological science, engineering program or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.5. A valid driver's license is required.
