A call for Volunteers - this a great local conference!
"Volunteer for GIS-in-Action! All volunteers will have their registration to the conference paid!
We are looking for student volunteers to help at GIS-in-Action. The dates are Tuesday and Wednesday March 29th and 30th, with volunteer opportunities on evening of March 28th as well.
The is a local GIS conference held here at PSU and a great opportunity to meet employers, network, and attend sessions on GIS applications.
We need volunteers to work each track of the conference (including workshops and lunch) as well as to help vendors set-up on Monday night (Mar. 28th). The amount of time to work depends on the number of volunteers we get.
If you are interested, please look at the Volunteer GIS-in-Action flier (attached as a word doc) and email the requested information to Nadia Jones at sittara@pdx.edu. Also take a look at the GIA At a Glance schedule and include in the email the top 3 sessions you would prefer to work as well as any major schedule conflicts (such as classes). I will be as accommodating as I can."
