The Position
The City of Wilsonville GIS department is planning to deploy two 2-person mobile GIS/GPS teams for approximately three months. The teams will be responsible for the collection of City infrastructure attributes including GPS coordinates, inventory numbers, and various other details.
In addition to the field work, there will be a desktop component of the project where field data will be synchronized to the Cartegraph application and from there into the City’s enterprise GIS. Team members may also be configuring, customizing, and implementing new Cartegraph modules and mobile collection applications for future project use.
The teams will have the opportunity to work closely with the City’s GIS Manager as well as other city staff, yet also independently develop the work plan and daily schedule that best meets the goals for the summer.
Ideal Candidates
Ideal candidates will apply for the positions as a team with the proven ability to work well together. Individuals are also strongly encouraged to inquire. Preference will be given to senior level students or recent graduates pursuing a GIS certificate and/or career.
Compensation
The positions will pay $15.00 per hour. The limited duration program will run for a maximum of three months. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
