THE POSITION:
The Information Systems Analyst II – GIS, Vertical Specialty in the Bureau of Technology Services will be responsible for the analysis, configuration and testing of the GIS interface and integration of the
City’s corporate GIS databases and the e-Permitting system. This position will perform GIS analysis, design, programming and support to determine how the geospatial data will be optimally stored in the
e-Permitting and CGIS databases. This position needs experienced Web Developers with experience in working with Web GIS tools such as Google Maps, MapServer, or ArcGIS Server.eloping Google Maps
interfaces, and a strong programming background. Experience with Google Earth, ArcGIS Server, SQL Server, JavaScript, Flex, Java and Objective C are all highly desirable, although not required.  As a
condition of employment, the successful candidate must pass a comprehensive police background investigation.

This is a 2-year limited term position. Persons appointed to limited term positions will be designated as limited duration employees whose
appointment shall not exceed two (2) years except for the extension of grants or funding from outside sources.



TO QUALIFY:
- ability to code in at least one of the following languages: C#, VB.NET, PHP, ColdFusion, or Java.
ability to perform analytical work using ArcGIS and similar tools.
- expert knowledge and experience with GIS Concepts.
- knowledge of relational database products such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and Access, with hands on experience in database design, creating and modifying SQL scripts or stored procedures and
effective use of indexes
- knowledge and job-related, hands-on experience in analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of software
applications.
