The Fulfillment Execution Data Science (FEDS) team is responsible for developing tools and models for our fulfillment network to provide analytical-based insights to help improve operational processes. We are looking for motivated scientists with strong modeling and analysis skills to join our team. You will be responsible for utilizing remotely sensed information, in conjunction with ground-based observations, to provide information on weather-related impacts applicable to our business. You will closely work with engineers, business stakeholders, research colleagues, and IT groups in incorporating the essential trade-offs within the models and take an active role in effectively communicating the recommendations to senior management. The qualified candidate will have a proven history of driving critical research and development and developing in-depth analytical understanding of weather impacts to systems. Responsibilities The incumbent works with resource specialists to determine type, amount, and level of information required to develop and analyze ecosystem management alternatives. Assesses quality, compatibility, and limitations of various data used in a wide array of land management and planning efforts. Compiles natural resource, topographic, and cartographic data for creation of thematic map products and presentation materials for multi-disciplinary resource planning, preparation of environmental and social assessments, and other project supporting natural resource management decision making. Coordinates conversion of geospatial information and remote sensing imagery into GIS databases. Provides advice on the implementation, management, analysis, and use of geospatial information.
