This position will perform complex technical duties to support Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the Public Works department and City’s Enterprise Program. Create, maintain, and manage digital inventory of public and private assets in GIS Enterprise database and City’s Enterprise Asset Management system with a focus on the City’s Water assets. Create, maintain, and manage GIS maps, layers, applications, geodatabases, and other related records. Provide a high level of customer service and GIS support to internal and external customers. The GIS Analyst II performs a variety of intermediate duties in support of the City's Public Works department in both daily operations as well as capital improvement projects. The position is primarily focused on the City's core GIS database (utility assets, property information, work location tracking, report data, display layers) and is heavily involved with the City's asset management and permit software systems. Maintains property ownership and legal description records for all property located within Jefferson County. Provides research and customer service to the public and other County departments requiring technical expertise and extensive knowledge in legal descriptions and chain of title.
