The City of Gresham is seeking an exceptional GIS Analyst to join the Maps and Data Services Program.
Position: The GIS Analyst is a technical lead in a team that creates, maintains and utilizes GIS in support of City-wide activities. The GIS Analyst collaboratively designs and develops mapping systems and databases for staff and the public. Other duties may include spatial analysis and cartography; developing and documenting task automation tools and standard protocols; creating charts, reports and presentations; providing technical assistance and training to City-wide staff and conducting quality review of maps and data products. This position serves as a liaison to various City Departments and as a representative of the City in the region.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience developing web-based applications for mapping and spatial analysis. Proficiency using computer software applications that include ESRI products, Microsoft Office, and relational database management systems. Familiarity with any of the following is desirable: ArcGIS Server, SQL Server, SDE, Flex, Python, ESRI’s ModelBuilder. The successful candidate will be required to exercise analytical and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrate the ability to lead work teams to meet project goals and objectives. Must have customer focus and excellent oral and written communication skills.
