Position Title: Assistant GIS Specialist

Salary: $52,623 - $70,468 annually
The Assistant GIS Specialist performs a variety of entry-level, professional GIS tasks associated with the development, maintenance and distribution of Metro’s Regional Land Information System (RLIS). The position will focus on maintaining and improving various transportation related datasets including streets, trails and bike facilities. This position also supports Metro departments, other jurisdictions and the general public with GIS products and analysis. Supervision is provided by the Research Center Enterprise Services manager.
A bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, urban planning or a related field, with major course work in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and one year of work experience in GIS and computer experience; or any combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job.
