Jefferson County is seeking an experienced GIS Analyst/Cartographer responsible for performing GIS technical assistance, guidance and training with an emphasis on Assessor parcel mapping. Duties of the position include obtain, create and maintain GIS data; provide web-based mapping and database lookup applications; maintain Assessor parcel maps in ESRI’s ArcGIS and Parcel Fabric; review and write legal descriptions; and work with essential staff to address needs of system users. Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university in appropriate field of study and 3-5 years of related experience; or, an Associate’s Degree (AA) in an appropriate field of study and 5-7 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Teamsters Union position; $24.14-$34.89/hr. DOQ + benefits
