  • Collect public water system boundary data from public water system administrators, data stewards or support staff in whichever format the data is available including GIS formats, CAD files, customer addresses and hardcopy maps.
  • Process collected data into an Esri feature class format, projected into a standard coordinate system and attributed with SDWIS data.
  • Build and organize geodatabases for data storage.
  • Work with ADCP, Oregon Tracking and DAS GEO staff to build an ArcGIS Online site where DWS boundaries will be uploaded, stored and will be editable by staff with editing privileges. The GIS intern will perform the following duties.

Qualifications & Requested Skillsets:

  • Must have personal computer knowledge using MS Word, MS Access, MS excel, Internet or comparable applications.
  • Ability to document work processes and folder structures.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to communicate information and request data from public water system staff with different skill levels and expertise.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
