What you will do:
As a GIS Specialist, you will utilize current GIS tools to assist Oregon State Parks in collecting, correcting and improving the data sets available in support of the archeology and heritage programs. You will provide customers with current data, reduce duplication of field work efforts and ensure the agency is targeting resources to ensure best practices in the preservation of history and stories of all cultures that have existed in Oregon.
(a) Three (3) years of information systems experience with GIS.
(b) An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or a related field; AND One (1) year of information systems experience with GIS.
(c) A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
