The Bureau of Technology Services (BTS) is seeking an experienced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Application Developer to support the Bureau of Development Services. Bureau of Development Services (BDS) is the central Building Permit and Inspection provider supporting all City services. The City uses the latest technologies from ESRI, VertiGIS Studio (Geocortex), Microsoft, and Google to deliver innovative solutions to support critical business operations and engage with BDS customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in developing and supporting GIS applications and data integration solutions with complex business systems. Seeking an excellent communicator with strong customer service skills to join our diverse team of professionals. Senior level experience with ArcGIS for Enterprise (Portal)/ArcGIS Online, VertiGIS Studio/Geocortex Essentials, JavaScript, Python, XML and SQL. As well as supporting a diverse set of existing applications and end users. They must demonstrate expert level SQL development skills along with database design, integration, transformation, and the ability to do performance tuning. The candidate must be able to work independently and deliver a full software development lifecycle, from inception through deployment and ongoing support. Ability to work closely with customers to gather complex business requirements and design innovative solutions using GIS and analytic data presentation methods. Willingness to share ideas and collaborate with a diverse set of professionals with a focus of providing excellent customer service is essential.
