This is a full-time, limited duration position with the Oregon Military Department's Office of Emergency Management located in Salem, Oregon.
Funding is expected through June 30, 2017. In the event funding becomes available the position may become permanent without further competition.
You are not required to be a member of the Oregon National Guard to apply for this position.
This position is represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees' (AFSCME) Union.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe 9-1-1 GIS Specialist is responsible for the collaboration with GIS stakeholders and collection, organization and conflation of GIS mapping data. This position assesses GIS Data readiness, completeness and development for Legacy and Next Generation 9-1-1; coordinates the documentation of information; and provides customer service and direction in the use of GIS standards and applications to public safety agencies and organizations both familiar and unfamiliar with the technology.
