The City of Beaverton is looking to develop its own Buildable Lands Inventory (BLI) model and is in need of someone who could help with the development of the model. Specifically, the City is just beginning the process to update the Housing, Economy, and Transportation chapters of its Comprehensive Plan. The City has been working with Metro on developing a Buildable Lands Inventory (BLI) model for the region, but has also decided to create its own model, which can better incorporate some of its local data and be more integrated with the City's GIS. The BLI effort will be integral to the Comp Plan Update process by helping to create the foundation for an assessment and analysis of future population/housing and employment growth in the City.
The internship pays $15 per hour, with the hope for 20-30 hours per week (flexible). See attached document for more information. Applications and resumes should be submitted via the City website, but students should feel free to contact David Levitan (email: firstname.lastname@example.org), the City senior planner, with any questions.
