GIS/Demography Researcher needed for post-2010 Census redistricting project
Description: The Oregon Demography Project is seeking a researcher with expertise in demography and GIS software to assist with redistricting analysis. The researcher will be an integral part of an innovative quantitative project analyzing the political outcomes of newly drawn district maps in Oregon.
Qualified candidates will possess:
* Degree in demography, GIS, statistics, or related field
* Strong GIS software experience; redistricting plugin experience a plus
* Training in demography or population research, with special attention to Census data
* Knowledge of Oregon demographics and politics
This short-term consulting contract is expected to last approximately five months.
