RESEARCH ASSISTANT (PAID)

The Oregon Center for Public Policy is now accepting applications for a research assistant position in policy analysis for summer 2016. This position is open to undergraduate and graduate students. The Center accepts applications from any academic discipline. The position requires strong quantitative analysis skills.
The Center is a non-profit organization conducting in-depth research and analysis to advance policies and practices that improve the economic and social opportunities of all Oregonians. Potential applicants can review our published work at www.ocpp.org.
The research assistant will work with the Center’s policy analysts on a variety of projects. Typical activities include:
-- gathering research information from traditional and electronic sources
-- analyzing data using various software packages
-- developing charts, graphs, or informational pieces
-- developing written materials
-- editing the work of others
-- other duties as assigned
The position is based in Portland. Partial telework arrangements can be negotiated. The research assistant position is approximately 35 hours per week, however, we will consider part time applicants. Starting and ending dates are flexible, with a maximum term of 12 weeks.
