The Department of Geography and Atmospheric Science invites applications for a .6 FTE Lecturer in Cartography and Director of Cartographic Services expected to begin as early as August 18, 2016. This is a continuing .60 FTE appointment, with possibility for augmentation to 1.0 through grants and contracts. Ph.D. or ABD in Geography or a related area is expected by the start date, although strong MA/MS candidates will be considered. Must be prepared to teach two courses/semester in cartography and closely related courses. Director of Cartographic Services duties include day-to-day management of the lab, design and production of cartographic products and seek additional funding for the lab. A competitive salary will be offered that is commensurate with experience. Salary may be supplemented through development of external lab funding.
