Associate Survey Technician Position Summary: As an Associate Survey Technician, you will support the Survey Team by handling the day-to-day production of survey documents and assist the Survey Team in the field with equipment management and physical set up. Responsibilities, Tasks, Authority: The Associate Survey Technician will support the Survey team in the field. Following the direction of the Survey Crew Chief, the Associate Survey Technician will assist with topographic surveys; ensure all equipment is organized, available, and in vehicles; set up robotic station and GPS units. This role requires physical work in the field including staking and set up of equipment on the job site. The Associate Survey Technician will be responsible for note keeping, limited field calculations, limited interpretation of engineering plans, drawings, and maps. The Associate Survey Technician will demonstrate PCD’s values of building long-term relationships by focusing on mutual respect and integrity in all we do. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. The Associate Survey Technician will demonstrate a desire to learn and grow in the Surveying field. The Associate Survey Technician will demonstrate a “can do/will do” attitude in acceptance of assignments, tasks, and responsibilities. A highly physical role, the Associate Survey Technician will be comfortable working on the job site in a physical capacity and will demonstrate motivation to complete tasks on time and in accordance with established company standards and QA/QC guidelines. Supervision: The Associate Survey Technician will work closely with the Survey Technician, perform work under the supervision of a Surveyor or Survey Crew Chief, and will report to the Survey Crew Manager.
