Espinoza Consulting Services, Inc. (ECS) is seeking a GIS specialist with a strong background in archaeology to support multiple cultural resources projects in the Southeastern United States. The ideal candidate will hold ESRI Technical Certification or GIS certification, and a degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field from an accredited college or university. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience providing GIS support to archaeological projects. Candidates without a technical GIS certification are welcome to apply and will be considered based on the extent of their combined archaeological and GIS experience. This position will be based remotely in the Southeastern United States, and preference will be given to qualified candidates residing in Georgia or the Carolinas.

This is a full-time position with benefits, starting in early 2026.
Basic responsibilities include the creation and management of ArcGIS Online web maps and project GIS for mobile device GPS apps (Field Maps and Survey123), the preparation of spatial survey data for submission to federal agencies, and figure production for technical cultural resources reports. Salary is negotiable but is expected to be $70,000 to $75,000/year depending on experience. Signing bonus for qualified applicants following completion of probationary term (3 months). Minimum Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field
· Completion of an accredited archaeology field school
· GIS Certification (or demonstrated experience in archaeological applications of GIS)
· Experience with ArcGIS pro, ArcGIS pro map series
· 5+ years of GIS/archaeology experience in the southeastern United States
· Experience with a variety of GPS devices and software
· Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with archaeological report preparation
· Experience with Cartography, QGIS, PostGIS, ArcPY scripts, Python, Javascript, Survey123, Field Maps, and ArcGIS online products, and Lidar analysis.
· Development of data collection procedures for Archeological Investigations
