Are you a problem solver that is detail-oriented and can see projects through from the field installation of sensors to data visualization? Come work with us on global conservation to use the latest and greatest technology to accelerate conservation. From networking, instrumentation, data visualization, and curation you will help us bring ecosystems to life through data. You will engage with local staff and researchers to problem solve, work within a dynamic team, and do it all at an incredible place. The Geoinformatics Coordinator will be part of the Global Protect Oceans, Lands, and Water program and will work closely with TNC staff to guide geographical prioritizations, identify target conservation opportunities, and coordinate spatial data needs for TNC’s expanding conservation strategies, including the Global Protect Program’s Nature Bonds, Enduring Earth Partnership, and 30x30 initiatives. The overarching focus of these initiatives is to help the world protect a representative, durable, inclusive, and effectively managed 30% of the planet. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of The Nature Conservancy for a two-year term, with the potential to extend based on funding and need. The location for this position is flexible within countries where The Nature Conservancy is a registered NGO and has an established office. This position is not eligible for relocation or immigration assistance. Occasional travel of up to 20% of time may be required to be fully successful in this position.
