SUMMARY STATEMENT This position is responsible for administration and oversight of the geographic information solutions (GIS) software and systems. The work consists of staying current in advanced principles using ESRI products, GIS programming languages and methodologies to perform GIS database management. Must have strong technical and analytical skills to produce, merge and validate information from multiple database sources both internal and external. Responsible for GIS work including; designing, testing and maintaining ArcGIS web maps, integrating third party software with GIS. Provides training and consultation with employees and contractors to foster effective system use and ensure work practices maintain integrity and security of Central Lincoln’s GIS data. Evaluates and participates in making recommendations to advise management of improvements, maintenance and best practice use of GIS. May be team lead for special projects. Essential Functions:
