The City of Renton is looking for two talented candidates to fill GIS Analyst 1, 2 or 3 vacancies in our Public Works Utilities Department. The GIS Analysts will be responsible for supporting the operation of 292 miles of storm system and 230 miles of sanitary sewer infrastructure. The GIS Analysts will also develop and maintain GIS system information and web applications to facilitate the operation and maintenance of Renton’s utility system. Additionally, they will support regulatory compliance and capital projects implementation. The GIS Analysts will perform complex data analysis and integration using ArcGIS and other computer software. They will establish relational databases to display information using dashboards, web maps, and story maps. It’s worth mentioning that the city is planning to evolve its system data from being GIS-centric to a GIS/Asset Management System. These positions may support this evolution. Telework Program The City of Renton supports workers performing in a hybrid capacity (partial telework/in-office) where job responsibilities can be performed remotely.
