Summary
The GIS Analyst performs complex technical work in the planning, creation, maintenance, and retrieval of data from the County’s Geographic Information System (GIS) and related software applications. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Completion of four years of college preferred or two years of college and or technical school program in GIS, automated mapping, geography, computer science, database management, or related field, with three years of professional GIS or automated mapping experience; OR, any equivalent combination of training and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Employment at Benton County is contingent upon the results of a background check and eligibility for coverage by the County’s liability insurance carrier. Depending upon the position, background checks may include personal and professional references, social security verification, education and professional licensing verification, financial history, and criminal history.
