Job Description:
Business Oregon is currently hiring a GIS Analyst (Information Systems Specialist 7) within the Technology Services Section of the Operations and Finance Division. What you will do:

• Planning Write and modify internal and external facing documentation to establish standard operating procedures, best practices, and examples for developing and interacting with geospatial data, software, and services.
• Document data development / publishing workflows, scripts, and environment configurations for establishing shared knowledge and responsibilities.
• Work with the Broadband Office, IS Team Lead and other team members to determine data priorities, automation pathways, and publishing mechanisms.
• Contract Management Prepare requests for proposal and qualifications for mapping and application management software.
• Write Scope of Work documents for contracts.
• Operations Maintain ArcGIS Online data and web app/viewer assets for both internal and external consumption.
• Coordinate with IT team on GIS software and tool installation and maintenance.
• Design and document complex GIS processes and workflows.
• Customer Assistance Develop user documentation and web site help utilities, which provide direct support to customers.
• Develop custom training materials that support GIS applications and tools.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of some or all of the following skills:

• Expertise and practical working knowledge of GIS principles and relational databases.
• Expertise and practical working knowledge of basic database management, data modeling, and process modeling principles.
• Ability to provide GIS technical analysis and support in the resolution and debugging of GIS database problems.
• Familiarity with online databases and geospatial analysis tools for GIS mapping.
• Proficient use of computers and agency software including standard programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including communication of technical information
