Summary The City of Bend Office of Performance Management Department is actively recruiting for one (1) regular, full-time GIS Analyst position. This opportunity is represented by the City of Bend Employee Association (COBEA), and is a FLSA exempt position The Office of Performance Management (OPM) Department officially formed early 2019 with a mission to support the City's goals and objectives through data and innovation. Working alongside a small dynamic team of GIS and business intelligence professionals, the GIS Analyst will apply their analytical skills and technical expertise with the ultimate goal of transforming data into useful information to enable better decision making. The GIS Analyst is responsible for design, development, implementation and maintenance of centralized GIS data, models, maps, and applications; performs complex analytical duties in support of the GIS program; and provides general technical support to City staff as needed. Preferred candidates will be proficient with Esri's desktop, online, and/or server applications, and have experience with writing and maintaining models or scripts to automate processes. Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Knowledge of:
Education, Experience, Certifications and Licenses Required: Associate's degree with emphasis in cartography, mapping, Geographic Information Systems, computer-aided drafting operations, computer science, or a closely related field; and three (3) years of technical experience in the creation and maintenance of a GIS; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills.
