We are excited to recruit a GIS Analyst (Asset Management) within our Public Works Department. This critical role will advance Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and asset management programs for the City’s sanitary sewer and stormwater utilities. As the GIS Analyst, you will bring the Public Works Department’s established use of GIS and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) software to the next level with the goal of proactive maintenance, effective operations, and data-driven capital outlay. As a cohesive force within the department, you will use your strong technical expertise, project management abilities and interpersonal communication skills to coordinate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, from frontline maintenance staff to department leadership.

We're looking for an experienced and purpose-driven GIS professional who is equally comfortable fielding highly technical questions in addition to translating those complex technical concepts to engage with our non-technical staff - strong interpersonal communication skills are a must. You will work independently and as part of team to innovate, create and automate the future of sanitary and stormwater utility data. What You'll Be Doing

• Performing analysis and reporting using utility GIS and CMMS data
• Developing and managing data workflows
• Establishing procedures and training for field staff use of mobile GIS solutions
• Candidates We Are Looking for Will Have

Knowledge of:

• GIS principles, practices, and concepts
• CMMS or asset management software
• Sanitary and storm water utilities and related GIS functionality
• Technical project management

​Ability To:

• Proficiently utilize ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Online/Portal
• Write Python, T-SQL, and Arcade
• Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
• Write detailed technical procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related field; AND
• Four years of increasing GIS experience, spatial data analysis and database design in particular; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above

Licensing/Certifications

• Driver’s license with a safe driving record required
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Certificate preferred
