About the Position: ESA seeks a highly motivated individual who shares an interest in natural resources and environmental planning and has experience in Geographic Information Systems, cartography, and spatial analysis. This position’s main responsibilities include developing high quality map products for print and web-based presentation, data collection and management and geodatabase development. This individual would work closely with our GIS, graphics and design team to provide geospatial services to clients and staff in the Northwest Region. The position is full-time with benefits. Requirements: Qualified candidates should have 3-5 years’ relevant experience (may include coursework in GIS, geography, environmental planning, or related studies). Demonstrated high standards for cartographic design, visual communication, and attention to detail are essential. The position requires skills and demonstrated experience with ESRI ArcGIS software including ArcGIS Online and web-based applications. Knowledge of Washington and Oregon natural resource and/or city and county datasets preferred. Experience with QGIS, Mapbox, Python, Tableau, AutoCAD and graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) is a big plus. The candidate must be an independent, self-directed, problem solver capable of working under tight deadlines and responding to the immediate needs of clients.
