Department Summary The Geospatial Operations Department is the heart of PGE’s Geographic Information System (GIS), and is generally responsible for creation, acquisition, maintenance, query and visualization of PGE’s system data. They are the gatekeepers of PGE’s GIS data, representing not only locations of system components but modelling its connectivity as well. The data they manage is also used to make important decisions via visualization and analyses. Data quality and end user experience are the primary drivers toward a complete and accurate GIS to support critical business systems and functions, like OMS, ADMS, and CYME, across the company. Job Summary As a GIS Analyst you’ll primarily be responsible of mapping as-builts in ArcMap using ArcFM, as well as potential focus in ArcGIS Online, Field Maps and general map creation. In this role you will also support additional work needed for developing process improvements, incremental as-built activities focused on Downtown CORE, additional focus on reducing the GIS as-built backlog, and departmental reporting mechanisms using QuickBase.
