Residency Requirement: This position is eligible for routine telework. Currently, all employees must reside in Oregon or Washington.  Multnomah County cannot support ongoing telework from other locations.

More About the Job: This position will work to increase accuracy and create efficiency in the assessment and taxation processes, by increasing organization and project management, creating datasets, analysis tools, web maps and map products, building and maintaining GIS tools and products, as well as performing analysis and reporting. This position will also assist to provide and maintain current, accurate cadastral maps and GIS database.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*: 

• Bachelor’s degree. Experience may substitute for a degree.
• Two (2) years of increasingly responsible work experience in GIS
• A valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:
You do not need to have the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills to qualify. However, keep in mind we may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates. • Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in GIS, Geography, math, computer science, business or a related field, demonstrating the capacity for the required knowledge and skills
• Experience integrating GIS & CAMA systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Esri ArcGIS skills (ArcPro 2.0+, desktop, online, mobile, etc.).
• Working Knowledge of analytical, statistical, and spatial analysis techniques. 
• Working knowledge of database concepts and connectivity with Esri ArcSDE services.
• Experience data editing with versioned SDE database, managing spatial and non-spatial data including data development and data maintenance.
• Experience creating content, developing apps and managing licenses in web mapping platforms such as Esri ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Working knowledge of scripting with Python, Model Builder and Arcade.
• Working knowledge creating web content accessibility products.
• Experience providing technical support and training to customers and staff of all levels in navigating web map applications and other GIS products.
• Ability to develop and provide documentation for GIS processes.
• Ability to interact and work with a diverse group of people and at all levels of the organization.
• Public sector experience.
