GIS In Action 2019: CALL FOR STUDENT VOLUNTEERS

Message from Alicia Milligan @ PSU regarding GIS In Action conference:

Are you wanting to go to GIS In Action 2019 for FREE? We are looking for student volunteers who can commit to a minimum of FOUR hours of volunteer work during the conference in trade for FREE admission. If you are interested, please follow the steps below:

Monday, April 22 - Tuesday, 23
Volunteer Times for both days: 7:00am to 4:30pm (5:30pm on Tuesday)

Volunteer Sign Up Instructions:
1) We will need a maximum of 5 volunteers enrolled in each school, PSU, PCC, OSU, and UO. If by April 15th a school has not filled it's maximum volunteer openings, those spots will be open to all students from any school.

2) You must be able to fulfill your volunteer requirements of a minimum of FOUR hours volunteer service over the course of the conference. The sign up link includes a spreadsheet of the conference workshops and sessions with times listed and a sheet called "Volunteer Sign Up". Please look at the GIA schedule sheet, then sign up using the "Volunteer Sign Up" sheet with your affiliated school including your name, email, dates and times available, and any other information that would be helpful (ex: sessions interested in volunteering for).

3) Duties will include registration check-in, volunteers in each workshop or session, and map gallery. If there are particular sessions you are interested in volunteering for, please list those in the additional info section when signing up. On the day of your shift, you will check in with registration to receive your badge and log your hours. You will need to sign in/out when volunteering to make sure you are fulfilling your required hours. A week prior to the conference, you will receive an email from myself with your schedule and responsibilities. I will also serve as your point person throughout the conference if there are questions. 

4) MOST IMPORTANT: Don't forget to register for GIS In Action! GIS In Action Registration
Make sure to choose student registration. In the comments say student volunteer and then choose payment method of "send check in mail".
