HOLD THE DATE! Please mark your calendars for the TWENTY-SEVENTH Annual GIS In Action Conference, hosted by the Columbia River Region of the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) and the Oregon-Southwest Washington Chapter of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA). This year, we are again at Portland State University! Each year ASPRS and URISA collaborate to hold this informational conference on current issues in the Geospatial Information Community. Call for Presentations! Please submit a Paper Title, Name, and Email at this time by emailing our Program Chair, Jamie Ludwig: mailto:[email protected]. You will be asked the first week of January 15, 2018 to complete more information using a Google form. Paper submissions should be submitted by February 1, 2018. Abstracts submitted after this date are welcome, but those submitted by the deadline will be given first consideration in the program. Presenters receive a $125 discount on the registration fee of $270. View last year’s program here. Call for Posters! Participants will have an opportunity to present a poster about map topics. Poster contestants can enter for reasons such as to show their skills, to learn new skills, or to show their finished project after a long time of creating. Posters will be competing incategories for prizes. The details for displaying Posters entering are below: Map Size: Posters can be any size, but larger sizes are preferred. The maxim poster size is 4 ft x 6 ft, eitherin landscape or portrait layouts Judging: Maps will be judged by conference attendees according to the following categories:
Pickup: Please pick up the poster after the conference to avoid loss of your creative efforts.
