THE POSITION Washington County's Land Use & Transportation Department is now hiring a limited-duration Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technician III. The Position In addition to making beautiful paper and online maps, the Geographic Information Systems Technician III provides support to end users of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) within the department. This includes analyzing a variety of statistics and spatial data to create diagrams, illustrations, and maps; responding to mapping and information requests from employees and the public; maintaining complex GIS datasets; and writing programs and scripts for the development of mapping products.
