GIS Technician w. Central Elective Cooperative (Redmond, OR)

GIS Technician in Redmond, OR for Central Electric Cooperative Inc.

​Requirements:    Assists in the maintenance of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and software including installation, integration, troubleshooting, upgrades and data entry. To work cooperatively with all CEC departments, delivering GIS products, analysis, training and ongoing project support for CEC office and field staff.  This is an in-office position, located at our Redmond office. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in maintaining a consistently high level of data accuracy and appearance of GIS products
• Perform GIS analysis, data management and production of cartographic products using esri’s suite of software
• Provide a professional level of support to internal and external users of CEC spatial data
• Problem solve and work with external software technical support as required
• Develop best practice procedures for new or ongoing projects or integrations, including documentation
• Familiarity using Arcade or similar scripting language preferred but not required
• Assist in software development or conversion as needed
• Familiarity with esri Portal or Enterprise configuration, deployment, and publishing of services
• Input post-construction jobs into GIS data, update model as needed
• Support and develop various field inspection projects as needed in a timely manner
• Enter easements into GIS using legal description per ROW Agent
• May be required to do occasional work or observation in the field

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS related field or 5+ years of experience using esri software professionally
• Must be familiar with esri software suite: (ArcMap, ArcPro, ArcGIS Online at a minimum), as well as Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills, integrity and willingness to work as a team are critical
• Valid State of Oregon Driver’s License preferred
