GIS Technician w/ Kaart (Seattle, WA)

Kaart is looking for a GIS Technician with varied experience editing spatial data. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail oriented, and able to think critically, as well as work quickly and efficiently. In addition to editing and analyzing data, the successful candidate will be able to work closely with other through cross-team collaboration.

Preferred Key Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience of relevant industry experience preferred.
• Education BA/BS in Geography or relevant field.
• Ability to think critically and exercise good judgement.
• Proven leadership ability.
• Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, OpenStreetMap, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, iD Editor and JOSM.
• Capable of making decisions based on analysis and experience.
• Strong competence in data analysis.
• Able to work both in a team or independently when required.
• Self-driven attention to detail, data accuracy and quality of output.
• Familiarity with remote sensing and analyzing aerial imagery.
• Develop and manage projects through cross-team coordination, to deliver the best results possible.
• Communication of detailed workflows to decision-makers.
• Support creation of and review technical specifications.
