Duties
Summary
This position is located in Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, District Thirteenth, Sector Columbia River, Detach Duty Intelligence Staff in Portland, OR.

Responsibilities
In this position, you will serve as an analytical specialist for maritime threats in and around the ports and coastal waterways to produce and disseminate information/ and reports for enforcement in a pivotal policy role from day one. You will represent the division at regional, national and international intelligence and law enforcement conferences.

Typical work assignments include:

• Collecting, evaluating, interpreting and integrating data from multiple sources to recognize key indicators of future events that impact USCG operations or related security conditions in the Pacific maritime domain.
• Fusing all-source intelligence and performing subject matter expert work on areas such as transnational crime, terrorism, geospatial analysis, living marine resources and/vessel targeting.
• Applying knowledge of the organization for and methods of, collecting intelligence data and of the resources and interests of the intelligence community.
• Utilizing imagination in relating the collection and dissemination processes to the needs of research, populating databases; researching available intelligence; identifying intelligence gaps, articulates collection requirements; and using analytical tools and research methodologies to form conclusions and predictions.
• Generating written intelligence assessments for senior decision makers and operational units; reviewing and editing intelligence products prepared by others; and collaborating with other intelligence agencies on mutually concerning threats and issues.
