The Energy Planning & Innovation (P&I) Division supports the agency mission by pursuing programs and policies that help Oregonians conserve energy, use energy more efficiently, and produce energy using renewable sources. The Division’s two sections: Energy Efficiency & Conservation and Energy Technology & Policy collaborate with the Department’s other divisions and stakeholders to help support the development of clean energy resources and integrate those resources into the State’s transmission and distribution system. The division offers energy expertise DAS Form – 2006 Page 2 of 6 across sectors, including efficiency in buildings and manufacturing as well as alternative fuels and infrastructure, while helping Oregon build a more resilient energy system – one that is well prepared to respond to issues such as climate change and natural disasters. The division also helps the State pursue strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable transportations. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING You will provide research, statistical analysis, financial forecasting/modeling, and technical GIS support to the Energy Planning & Innovation Division and other ODOE program areas. This includes selecting, applying, and interpreting complex statistical analytical and forecasting techniques, designing computerized models, and analyzing and presenting the results in narrative and/or graphic form. This position serves as a project analyst on research studies for one or more divisions. The position is also responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating research methodologies and applying analytical techniques and concepts to research studies, and statistical and fiscal projects. This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule. The incumbent will be expected to work at the central workplace located at 550 Capitol St. NE in Salem, Oregon, at least eight times per year. This generally includes attendance at pre-scheduled in-person all-staff meetings.
