​What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Oversee the maintenance and integrity of enterprise GIS datasets and execute related changes to associated schema
• Support the design and development of architecture and processes required to integrate GIS and Business Intelligence platform technologies and data flows
• Develop accurate GIS analysis and associated deliverables, including data extracts, mapping, summary tables, and reports for business stakeholders
• Develop standardized, repeatable processes for gathering and interpreting complex quantitative/qualitative data and synthesizing multiple datasets to answer spatial questions
• Collaborate with management, project managers, and development teams to evaluate business requirements, communicate alternatives and tradeoffs, and prioritize planned development efforts

What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in geographic or cartographic science, analytics, business, supply chain management, engineering, or other analytical area
• 7 or more years of functional business experience including business analysis, GIS, BI or analytics development, and project management
• Expert in manipulating data using advanced Excel formulas, Microsoft Access, Tableau, Minitab etc.
• Expert knowledge of SQL and geospatial and relational database constructs
• Experience visualizing data and annotating analyses in order to demonstrate trends and highlight insights to audiences with varying levels of analytical skill
• Experience integrating and analyzing many types of geospatial and relational data with GIS software
• Experience using and developing workflows with geocoding software and processes

It’d be great if you also have:

• ESRI or Geographic Information Systems certification
• 4 or more years of specific experience developing geospatial analyses and GIS maps; using an enterprise GIS platform, preferably ESRI ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and/or ArcGIS Online
