​​General InformationTo apply for an intern position you must be a student currently enrolled in school during the term of employment.  Spring 2016 Graduates will not be eligible for this internship unless documentation of continued educational classes (graduate school) can be provided at the time of application.

Applicants must provide current grade point average and proof of enrollment in classes at time of application. Maintenance of a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average and continued enrollment in classes pertinent to the internship is required.


Summary of Essential Responsibilities

• Demonstrate experience with ArcMap data management, analysis and mapping tools, including; versioned editing, python, spatial and 3D analyst.
• Create, edit and visualize spatial data using Google Earth and SketchUp or open-source tools such as Open Street Map and Quantum GIS.  
• Work collaboratively with a team that believes in listening, sharing ideas and constantly improving.
• Develop systematic approaches and code to solve issues and complete tasks.
• Organize work and tasks efficiently in a dynamic business environment.
• Research and distill complex analyses and projects into clear documents.

Minimum Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, environmental science, geography, urban and regional planning or other natural science degree is required.
• Practical experience and coursework applying GIS software to solve real problems using public or crowd sourced data is required.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and Adobe Illustrator is required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills is required.
