The Position The Technical Support Specialist is a professional GIS position in the City’s Engineering Department. The person in this position performs a variety of Geographic Information System and surveying activities under the day-to-day direction of the GIS Supervisor. This is a full time position and is represented by the Lake Oswego Municipal Employees Association (LOMEA), American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). Education and Experience RequirementsEducation and Experience: A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is with a Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, and engineering or a related field or one to two years of work experience with GIS computer systems.
