WSP is currently initiating a search for a Multi-modal Transportation Planning Intern for our Portland office for the Fall quarter, with the possibility of extending to the Winter quarter.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-General planning support, including data collection, research, and documentation
-Assist in geospatial, statistical, and operations data
-Contribute to the development of statewide and regional transportation plans, corridor plans, transit plans, feasibility studies, alternatives analysis, community outreach materials, planning reports, environmental documentation, and other analyses

Minimum Qualifications:
-Current standing as a Graduate student actively enrolled in a Planning, Public Policy, Economics, Environmental Studies or other relevant Graduate program
-Knowledge of planning, public policy, engineering, and/or political science
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
-Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
-The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.

Preferred Qualifications

• Local candidates preferred (Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship)
• Experience with GIS applications and tools
• Experience with graphic design software including the Adobe Suite
• Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework
