Workshop | December 1, 2017 | 9:00-1:00pm
The GIS Club & ASPRS PCC Student chapter will be hosting a workshop on learning Cartographic Techniques using Illustrator, one of the leading graphic design software programs. This workshop will focus on exploring the software through hands-on activities, and covers how import maps from ArcMap, and the basics of vector design using Illustrator. Michael Roberts will be teaching the workshop - he is a current student in the GIS Certificate Program at Portland Community College with a background in graphic design.
Please fill out the registration form below if you are interested in attending. The workshop will be 4 hours long, with time to break for bagels & coffee (will be provided). The workshop will be held at PCC - Sylvania in the GIS Lab (SS 110). The lab is equipped with 28 desktop computers. If you prefer to work on a laptop, there is space for you to set it up and connect to PCC's wifi, but you will need to have an Adobe Illustrator license and have the software downloaded on your laptop.
The first 30 people to respond will be registered for the event. After the first 30 people register, I will keep a wait list and if spaces open up you will be contacted.
Thanks for your interest and hope to see you there!
