General Nature & Scope of Work
Under the general supervision of the Application Manager, the job emphasis for the GIS Coordinator is maintaining geographic information data for 911 center systems, as well as administering, maintaining, and updating spatial data management, spatial analysis and GIS integration with SNO911’s technology applications. Compiles, organizes, merges and maintains a large diverse geographic database comprised of Public Safety mapping information such as but not limited to: addressing, street center lines, response areas, topography, parcels, hydrants and associated records. This position produces reports of a complex nature and analyzes information, data, maps, charts and graphs to reveal patterns, trends, and hot spots, and to ensure the integrity and applicability of information.
