World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Conservation Impact Data Intern. The intern will help WWF programs track progress of conservation interventions by supporting monitoring and evaluation activities including scoping, developing, and supporting systems for organizing, analyzing, and processing relevant data and indicators. This position will be part of the WWF Conservation Outcomes Monitoring Performance System (COMPS) and the Bezos Earth Fund portfolio. These initiatives aim to help programs co-design, implement, measure progress, and adapt their work to ensure transformative impacts for nature and people and measure impact across scales. Within these initiatives, the intern will work to systematically document and inventory existing data being used to assess and measure impact within these initiatives; and develop pipelines for obtaining, validating, and reporting relevant data in a way that support Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) systems. They will also contribute to assessments and research to inform the development of impact monitoring frameworks at WWF more broadly. The intern will have broad experience handling different types of data (including spatial and non-spatial data), awareness of methods for collecting quantitative and qualitative data for monitoring in conservation and/or natural resource management and be comfortable with using various tools and platforms for data analysis and management.
